Data Management Engineer

Cornerstone is looking for talented engineers to join our growing automation team. We provide automation services to manufacturing industries to help them improve and optimize their operations. Part of our automation services include implementing data management technologies. This is a high growth field with tremendous future potential.

In this position engineers will design, configure, and implement data management technologies to solve problems for our customers. These problems typically involve data acquisition from manufacturing data sources, computer system interface configurations, programming, and data analysis/visualization/reporting.  The problem-solving results in valuable information customers use for business purposes or for operational decisions.

The position will work with internal teams and directly with customers to provide services to meet project requirements.  On-site customer visits will occur to implement the solutions and to facilitate startup and training activities. Our data management engineers focus on customer relationships to accomplish their goals, along with computer systems knowledge such as code development, databases, and networking. They work in a variety of computer applications to deliver solutions to our customer’s most challenging data problems.

Education: B.S. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Technology

Skills:

• Microsoft Windows and network configuration
• Data historian systems such as OSIsoft PI or AspenTech MSC
• Databases including SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB
• Computer programming including .NET VB/C#, web development or other modern languages
• Data visualization and reporting applications like SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau
• Significant customer service interactions
